Hi, I'm Davi Teodoro and

I build stuff.

What kind of stuff?

Maps! The kind that help us understand. The kind that inform. The kind that interact. The kind that are just plain cool.

How long have you been doing this?

7 years. A mix of personal and professional projects.

Just maps?!

No! I'm also passionate about programming languages. I’ve built a visual programming language for working with geographic data.

And a Lisp interpreter.

I developed a system for editing and drawing maps using state machines.

I’ve worked on data science projects for the Instituto Moreira Salles.

And I created CMS platforms with Postgres, MongoDB and Express.

And many other things.

So, just frontend?

Fullstack, with solid SQL skills. That visual programming language I built? It’s an abstraction of SQL, and it’s pretty cool.

Sounds like a lot of JS and TS. What about other languages?

JS and TS are where I’m most comfortable, but I’ve also developed a game in C# and built a system for visualizing geographic data in Rust. And played with Python.

What else do you do?

I think about cities. I have a degree in Architecture and Urbanism from UFRJ, and as part of that, I mapped Rocinha.

And outside of tech?

I ride my fixie around Rio de Janeiro and travel across Brazil by bus. I even spent 5 days on a boat in the Amazon River!

Cool! How do I reach you?
